Welcome!

Hello. Welcome. This is the site that we're going to be posting to quite early in the morning and quite late at night, in the moments when we're awake and have the capacity to act as the proper journalist types that we obviously are. Obviously.

Published alongside the obviously fabulous Comedy Lounge Festival Diary we post them here for ease of access, so that you can marvel over our words of wisdom in your own time and leisure, and obviously run quickly to your friends and family and pass off our opinions as your own.

Guide to the Star System

The star system will still be employed by Team Comedy Lounge with the ratings as follows:

Six Stars

Get this show on telly immediately, fetch the Perrier award and peel them some grapes while you're at it. This show may well change your life forever.

Five Stars

Your opinion of comedy and quality will change drastically after this experience. You might even find love here. This is a damn fine show. Many come to the Festival, but few shine to this extent.

Four Stars

Go see this with our blessing, and you can even buy us a beer in thanks. Quite a good show, all told, but there's just that extra little something missing. Perhaps the performers were having a bad day. Maybe someone forgot to slip us that extra tenner. Who knows?

Three Stars

Probably not worth going to see, unless you're related to one or all of the performers.

Two Stars

Even if you're given free tickets, consider your options before sitting in a darkened room for an hour with these people.

One Star

Avoid at all costs. A fate worse than The Krankies. Something really really awful might happen. And we'd like to spare you the suffering that we have endured. Don't do it.

No Stars
We forgot to publish a star rating.

If you would like to reproduce any of these reviews, in whole or in part, please include the Comedy Lounge name and address - www.comedylounge.co.uk. Many thanks.
